90 Second Film Competition 2009
Saffron Screen announced the winners of its 90 second film competition.
Fourteen films were entered into the competition, to make a film of any sort lasting a maximum of 90 seconds, with film makers of all ages and films ranging from documentary to comedy, action and animation. All were of a very high quality.
The joint winners were Reality Check by Joe Preston and Barking Mad by Pug & Mike. The runner up was Twist by Edward Chancellor and Mat Blower. These films will be screened before feature films in December (Reality Check before An Education and Twilight: The New Moon; Barking Mad before Fantastic Mr Fox and Twist before Up).
The prizes were £50, a bottle of champagne and a £25 Petrus Design voucher to each of the winners and £25 and a £20 Harts Books voucher to the runner up. These were donated by Andrew Frostick Associates, Petrus Design and Harts Books.
Thanks to Brainwave Media Ltd, a local video production company, which assisted with film-making advice and in judging the competition.
All the films will be shown in the New Year in a special screening.
