Igor Stravinsky King of the Stars and
Sir Simon Rattle conducts the Berliner Philharmoniker orchestra with Luba Orgonášová (soprano), Dmitry Popov (tenor) and Mikhail Petrenko (bass), with the Rundfunkchor Berlin. The concert will be broadcast from Berlin and includes an introductory feature with interviews and behind-the-scenes footage.
Stravinsky's energetic The Rite of Spring is juxtaposed with Rachmaninov's warm and emotional cantata The Bells, inspired by the poem by Edgar Allan Poe.
Due to the nature of some of these events, you will need to select seats before booking tickets. Where seat selection is required, there is a limit of 8 tickets per booking. There will be no adverts or trailers for these events so please take your seats promptly. Latecomers may not be seated until the next interval. Additional refreshments will be available at all these events including cakes. Wine will be on sale at some of the evening events.
